Lulu Guinness hits the highstreet!

Lanvin did it, Matthew Williamson did it, and many more designers have followed suit. In the last few years designers have been collaborating with high-street stores more and more and it can only be to the delight of many women who long to have a piece of designer gold without the hefty price tag. I adore Lulu Guinness’ designs because of their retro-inspired quirkiness.

Her infamous lip clutches are very popular, and come in so many different colours and textures.

Her debut collection for Uniqlo has just launched today. Not only is it her first foray into the high-street , it is also her first clothing collection. The range will feature 14 T-Shirts each bearing her iconic prints.

When asked about her new venture, Guinness was delighted to be approached by Uniqlo.
''I have always wanted to put my designs onto T-shirts, so when Uniqlo approached me about doing a collaboration I was thrilled. ''

Lulu said that she wanted the Uniqlo collection to follow her mainline handbag collection as much as possible so that it would truly represent the Lulu Guinness brand. Naturally her iconic lips, cameo and doll-face icons made it into the collection and I am super excited about it. What I really want to know now is does this mean we can expect to see a clothing line under her own label anytime soon?

Lulu remains coy. ” This is a project that hasn’t been discussed as of yet – but watch this space!”

Here is a sneak peak at what to expect. All T-Shirts come in at £14.90.

Check out the entire collection here. I’ll beat you to it!
