I Hope You Have Time To Watch, In Time

This science fiction film was actually origianlly to called ‘Now’ or ‘I’m.Mortal.’ It is starring Justin Timberlake and Amanda Seyfried. It is directed and written by Andrew Niccol who has also worked on films such as The Terminal, Gattaca and The Truman Show.

It is a film that has never been done before. It has a great plot and cast that leaves you thinking about your life and the direction you are taking with it.

It is set in the future where you stop aging at 25 and from there on you will have a time clock imprinted on your arm with how much time you have left to live. So depending how long you live, you could look 25 for a thousand years.  Time is the currency so you pay for things with your time and earn your wages with time. The catch is that the planet is getting over populated so the price of living is raised so that the poor die and only the rich can live forever. When Will Salas (Timberlake) has his mother die due to the cost being raised too high, he goes in search to get his revenge. He ends up kidnapping Sylvia Weis (Seyfreid) which turns into his accomplice. They go stealing time from the rich and giving it to the poor.

This film has a great Robin Hood feel to it. It has a lot of moments in it that leaves you on the edge of your seat and keeps you guessing the whole time. This is a brilliant film that everyone would love. It may not be to everyones taste because of it being a futuristic theme to it. I however would give it 9 out of 10. Would definately get it on dvd.
